About WindTroubleshooter LLC
We build weather and operations software for the offshore wind industry.
What we do
Offshore wind work is governed by weather. A crew transfer, a blade lift, or a transit either fits inside a safe window or it does not, and that call is often made on scattered forecasts that were never written for marine operations. WindTroubleshooter brings hub-height wind, gusts, sea state, lightning, and live marine and air traffic into one operational picture, measured against the operator's own safety limits.
How the forecasts work
The platform combines public meteorological and oceanographic model data with live observations from buoys and monitoring stations. Every forecast is scored against what actually happened, and the resulting bias corrections are fed back into later forecasts. Accuracy is published inside the product rather than asserted — including where the model is weak.
The company
WindTroubleshooter LLC is a Michigan limited liability company. The service is operated and supported from the United States, and is offered to commercial offshore wind operators and their contractors.
Safety notice
The Service supports operational decisions; it does not replace them. Weather forecasting is inherently uncertain, and the master of a vessel and the responsible site personnel remain accountable for safety-critical decisions at all times.
